POSITION DESCRIPTION: 

Our client in Ontario, is seeking 2 full time Emergency Medicine physicians or the equivalent in part time positions in the next 3-6 months. Their strong, collegial ED team is currently comprised of sixteen (16) full- and part-time permanent Emergency Medicine physicians .With annual volumes of over 36,000 visits, double-coverage shifts, 24-hour labs, excellent specialty back-up, and comprehensive diagnostic imaging (including MRI and 24-hour CT availability), Their modern facilities are exceptionally well equipped.

Our client operates six hospitals. Their mission is to offer Quality Health Care, Right Here. They have 1,900 dedicated and compassionate staff and over 150 physicians who work together delivering excellent patient care to residents and visitors across their area. Scheduling is five, 8-hour shifts per day, including 16 hours of double physician coverage daily. Their Regional Hospital is the largest of their sites, and offers a full range of specialty services, including complex surgeries, total joint replacements, cancer surgeries, MRI and CT diagnostic services. Across the six hospitals, they have more than 100,000 patient visits per year.Their rural hospitals offer a wide range of primary and ambulatory care services and all have 24/7 Emergency departments, lab and x-ray.

REMUNERATION:

• Alternate Funding Agreement with competitive compensation package including hourly stipend plus % of shadow billings, HOCC allowance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Interested candidates should hold FRCPC or CCFP + EM (or goal to obtain) designations, or CCFP with ED experience.
• US Board certified Family Physicians or Emergency Medicine physicians are eligible for a full license in Ontario.
• Independent license to practice in Ontario.
