Job Description

This pediatric gastroenterology practice is set in a collaborative pediatric specialties group located in beautiful La Crosse, Wisconsin. We are seeking a BC/BE pediatric Gastroenterologist to take over a practice built over 10+ years! 

Practice highlights: 

-Join a practice with multiple pediatric GI-trained nurses (RN) and medical assistants.

-Inpatient consults only, no inpatient service requirements. 

-Wide range of procedures such as pH probe placement, EGD and colonoscopies, small bowel  capsule endoscopy and ano-rectal manometry. 

-Work in a very collegial environment with multiple pediatric subspecialists including: asthma,  allergy and immunology, cardiology, endocrinology, genetics and nephrology.  

-Get the best of many worlds! There are many opportunities to explore and expand your medical  career with teaching (medical students, family medicine residents, Gundersen conferences), leadership positions and both clinical and basic science research.

-Epic EMR with Epic trainers available and intermittent teaching sessions to improve  documentation and efficiency. 

-Additional available support includes: nutrition, prior authorization specialists, behavioral  health, lab, radiology and pharmacy. 

We have a special interest in the ongoing development of our services for children living within  the communities of our tri-state area and as such, have added to our staff a pediatric surgeon,  pediatric anesthesiologist, and pediatric emergency medicine physicians, as well as a broad  spectrum of other pediatric subspecialties; including, Allergy, Critical Care, Cardiology,  Dentistry, Dermatology, Developmental and Behavioral, Endocrinology, Genetics,  Hematology/Oncology, Neonatology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, and Orthopedic Surgery.

Gundersen is a physician-influenced, integrated health system with 1000+ clinicians serving over 650,000 lives in western Wisconsin, southeastern Minnesota, and northeastern Iowa. We are a teaching hospital with excellent support for research. We serve as the Western Academic Campus for the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Gundersen has a robust Medical Education department with over 100 residents, including Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Surgery and more.
