One of the fastest growing areas in the Southeast, the Columbia area offers a diverse blend of government, university, military, and private business. This mix allows for a tremendous client base, as well as an unparalleled quality of life. As a physician at CSC, you would not only be part of a dedicated team but also a member of a proud legacy. Our roots date back to the 1920s when Dr. Richard Allison, Sr. returned from serving in WWI to become one of the first dermatologists in the state and began what is now CSC. Here are just a few high-level points in considering CSC and Columbia as a place to work and live:
Modern Facilities:
Our ever-growing patient base receives exceptional care from our 10 board-certified dermatologists and three certified dermatology PAs in state-of-the-art newly renovated facilities.?
Two Moh’s suites, each with its own Moh’s surgeon, laboratory, and staff.?
Our in-house fully equipped dermatopathology laboratory is staffed by three histotechnologists and one dermatopathologist of 29 years of experience.? Our volume is over 17,000 specimens per year with the emphasis on servicing the providers in the group.
The successful candidate will share the workload and service at least two of the four locations in our group with a three-MA / nurse team assigned to them.
Collaborative Environment:
Our group consists of a wide age range, with members ranging from their 30s to their 60s. This diversity allows for a wonderful mix of educational knowledge and practical experience. And from a management perspective, it provides stability and natural practice succession with no need or desire for private equity involvement.
Our practice is known for its comprehensive, patient-centered care approach. All 11 of our current physicians share this philosophy and believe this positive culture is what sets us apart from other dermatology practices.
With a team of partners committed to remaining privately owned, we offer a relatively fast-track to equal partnership that does not include goodwill valuation.
Opportunity to participate in real estate projects and development.
Your ability to be involved in all facets of dermatology would allow you to grow and develop the avenues that interest you.
Work-life Balance:
We value work-life balance and want our entire team to enjoy a fulfilling personal life while also excelling in professional endeavors.
With no inpatient on-call; broad independence regarding scheduling; and assistance with parental leave CSC’s truly values equilibrium in your personal life.
The Columbia area is a wonderful place to raise a family. It offers a relaxed pace, an affordable cost of living, and excellent public and private school options.
With many great neighborhoods scattered throughout our area, there are opportunities for a wide range of lifestyle living. Whether you prefer downtown city life, upscale suburbs, lake living, or even acreage for country living, are all possible in our charming southern city.
Both mountains and beaches are an easy drive for a day trip or a long weekend. Many of us spend most of our weekends enjoying the beach during the summers.
Columbia is also home to Lake Murray, a desirable and beautiful place to live full time or spend your weekends boating its beautiful waters or relaxing on its shoreline.
Three rivers converge in Columbia, and with that comes miles and miles of beautiful riverwalk to casually stroll along and enjoy the scenic views, go for a run, or enjoy live music at one of the outdoor amphitheaters along the way.
Columbia has a nice, small airport and is only about an hour or so drive from Charlotte’s international airport.
