Duke University Health System- Duke Primary Care -Waverly Place seeks to hire a Certified Medical Assistant who will embrace our mission of Advancing Health Together.
Department Profile:
At Duke Primary Care Waverly Place, family doctors and nurse practitioners deliver comprehensive medical care to children, teens, and adults. Services for adults include internal medicine and family medicine, offering annual physicals, preventive care, chronic disease management, and women's health services. They also provide diabetes education, smoking cessation support, and sick visits for acute illnesses. For infants, children, and adolescents, services include well-child visits, school and sports physicals, immunizations, and care for chronic conditions like asthma and allergies, along with routine screenings for hearing, vision, and development.

Open 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday
Job Summary:
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) functions as an integral member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in providing direct patient care. The CMA performs routine administrative and patient care supportive duties in a Health System medical practice, they assist medical and/or nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients and ensure the clinic/office runs smoothly.

Level I -- No experience required.
Level II -- Must have at least 1 year of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
