We at TLC Pharmacy have embraced the expanded scope of practice for community pharmacists in Saskatchewan and are seeking our next team member - Part-time Pharmacist.
Your pharmacist duties will include but are not limited to:
- Working collaboratively with patients’ physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure positive drug therapy outcomes
- Conducting health screening clinics
- Engaging in community outreach programs
- Conducting immunization clinics
- Performing medication reviews and medication management services as per the provincial standards
- Patient counseling on selection and use of non-prescription medication
- Ensuring accurate pharmacotherapy
- Compounding prescribed pharmaceutical products
- Advising patients and health care professionals on the indications, contra-indications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage of medications
- Maintaining medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs
- Ensuring proper preparation, packaging, distribution and storage of vaccines, serums, biologicals and other drugs and pharmaceuticals
Education & Experience
- Licensed and in good standing with Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy
- Injection Certification
- Additional accreditation such as a CDE or a Geriatric Pharmacist an asset
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Working experience with Kroll Pharmacy dispensing software an asset
