About The Opportunity

Under the supervision of the Manager of Primary Health Care, the Pharmacist will work with a varied group of health professionals, other dedicated front-line pharmacy staff, and patients to provide patient-centered care that optimizes safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy. This includes working on selected medical services, identifying and resolving drug-related problems, completing medication reconciliation, participating in interprofessional medical rounds, providing patient education, and making therapeutic recommendations to the medical team. The Pharmacist is also responsible to ensure safe and effective drug therapy by participating in and overseeing drug distribution systems (inpatient and outpatient) as well as contributing to the effective and efficient attainment of the goals and objectives of Nova Scotia Health Pharmacy Services.
Travel will be required with this position.
The position will help address and build capacity to support our response to the Mass Casualty Commission's final report recommendations, relevant to Primary Health Care.

Compensation and Incentives
$43.68 - $53.24 Hourly
