Royal College Anesthesiologist Locum Needed

Sensenbrenner Hospital, Kapuskasing, Ontario is looking for Royal College Anesthesia Locums. 

Health Force Ontario’s Northern Specialist Locum Program has agreed to increase the funding envelope for Royal College anesthetists for the summer months (essentially now until end of September 2023). This is a one-time exception and it will not be available again after end of September 2023. They are doing this because of the urgent need for coverage for the summer.

The APP Alternate Payment Plan with its parameters will still be in place. (Contact me for the APP payment details) However, the Northern Specialist Locum Program has agreed to add the $300/day honorarium to each day of the locum assignment, including travel days. They will also pay the travel sessional for time spent in travel. Again, this is NOT part of the APP and will not be available after September 30, 2023, but will be in place from now until then to help us secure coverage for the summer.

Looking for a Royal College Anesthesiologist to provide locum services.

We typically schedule you in the OR Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm. 

Locum would be on call for the duration of their locum.

We are a small rural hospital in Northern Ontario with a populations of 8,000 and a catchment area of around 11,000.

Locums will usually fly from Toronto to Timmins on either Air Canada or Porter airlines and then rent a vehicle to drive the remainder of the way (approximately 1 hour 45 minutes)

We have fully furnished apartments conveniently located just across from the parking lot of the hospital. We charge $120 per night and your are reimbursed through the NSLP Northern Specialist Locum Program

Must be CPSO Certified
