SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center's pediatric service line is looking for a nurse practitioner to provide outpatient services for individuals from 8- 18 years of age. The program is currently looking to recruit a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMH-CRNP) for an open full-time position. Our ideal candidate will be Pennsylvania licensed and have 2-3 years of experience providing pediatric psychiatric care.
General duties of the outpatient aspect of the position will include evaluations, medication management, and interaction with clinical and physician staff. Outpatient and Telehealth services will be provided at Hershey Medical Center and other sites as needed and work with an established collaborative team of behavioral medicine providers. Requires 1-3 years' experience working in Pediatric Psychiatry.
The NP functions as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team and provides a wide range of patient services to a specific patient population across the continuum of health care. By utilizing the nursing process, scientific reasoning and critical problem solving, NPs practice within the scope of responsibilities and prescriptive authority defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and the Medical Staff Executive at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
