Speech Language Pathologist
Chinook’s Edge School Division (CESD) invites applications from qualified individuals for the position of Speech Language Pathologist. The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide effective Speech Language Therapy services to students in our schools by working collaboratively with CESD students, families, administration, educational staff, and external agencies. Reporting to the Associate Superintendent of Student Services, the SLP will support and promote the success of all students as part of multidisciplinary teams across the school division. This position is for the Central Zone which includes Elnora, Delburne, Innisfail, Bowden, and Olds.
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent and be registered with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA). Knowledge of speech and language milestones for children and the ability to establish high levels of trust and rapport with families and educational staff are required. Experience working with pre-school and school-aged population is also required. Advanced communication and collaboration skills will be considered an asset.
