Overnight Call:
Mandatory
Two full-time Community based OB/GYN position (2 FTE) providing a high quality efficient service with access to elective and emergency operating room and outpatient clinic time at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital as resources allow. There is a potential for access to regional resources as part of a regional service.
On-Call:
• Provision of on-call shared with OB/GYN group
• Participation in any future regional OB/GYN on-call service
In-Patient:
• Consultations for OSMH credentialed staff and regional partners
• MRP care for inpatients including admission, peri-operative management and discharge
• Participation and cooperation as a contributing team member
Out-Patient:
• Provision of out-patient consultations
• Provision of ambulatory colposcopy available, as resources allow
Administrative and Quality:
• Participation in strategic planning and program development of OB/GYN services.
• Participation in ongoing quality improvement and safety activities related to obstetrical and surgical care.
• Participation in hospital committees pertaining to specialty and as required by the credentialed staff by-laws.
• Active participation in working towards the OSMH length of stay (LOS) target benchmark at the 25th percentile of Ontario Hospitals.
• Efficient use of resources.
REMUNERATION:
• Fee for Service
• HOCC for on-call

• Eligible for membership on the credentialed staff of Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital.

Education:
• College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) unrestricted license that allows the physician to fulfil the requirements of this position.
• Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology recognized by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
Experience:
• Previous OB/GYN experience preferred.
• Sub-speciality training in urogyne and/or infertility is considered an asset.
