Family Physician - Calgary

Our client, a medical clinic located in the charming Bridgeland - Riverside Neighborhood in Calgary is looking for a full time Family Physician to join their team.

There is a very high demand in the area for family physicians. The new doctor has the option of starting a family practice or operating a walk-in schedule.

What services and amenities does the clinic offer to its doctors?

We are a fully developed and well equipped clinic. We have sufficient Medical Office Assistants in the facility who support physicians in patient care and ensure smooth workflow. They assist physicians with patients check in, updating patient charts, escorting and preparing patients before an exam, taking vitals, referral coordination and billing reconciliation and submission.

We also have a clinic manager who oversees daily clinical and administrative operations and works one on one with physicians to ensure their requirements are met.

Each physician has their own private office to work in.

- Understanding that compensation is pivotal, could you provide details about the exact compensation structure and commission percentage? Additionally, for a full-time GP at your clinic, what can they typically anticipate in terms of earnings?

For full time physicians joining our practice: We offer a flat 70:30 split on all Fee For Service. Any uninsured services eg: WCB, out of country patients, invalid Health Card, forms, note the new physician gets to keep all of it, no split on that.

- On a scale of 1 to 10, how much autonomy does each doctor enjoy?

10, all physicians have full autonomy, they can have the freedom to create their own schedule and workflow.

- Are there any distinctive clinic-specific regulations or protocols that potential doctors should be aware of?

We operate here like a family, we expect the physician to have good work ethics and time management skills. Be on time and respect patients' and their co-workers' time.

- Could you shed light on the dynamics among current doctors? Understanding the clinic's culture and how doctors interact is crucial.

We have a very positive and friendly work culture. Drs cover each other when one is on vacation.

- Are there any other noteworthy aspects that make this role particularly appealing?
