Well-run PBF (capitation model) Family Practice clinic looking for a family doctor to take on 1700 patient panel worth $1m/year.

Job Title: Are you a Family Physician looking for a place to set up a practice in a blended capitation funding model that has parity with LFP funding, but doesn't require any tracking of your time or punching of the clock? Would you like the flexibility to work in a team, unrestricted by the current billing models? Do you have an interest in elder-care and enjoy working in care homes? The Vancouver Family Practice Centre is currently seeking a collegial and dedicated Family Physician to join our team. This is a permanent position in our newly renovated spacious and light-filled clinic near VGH. The successful candidate will provide full service family practice care to our diverse patient demographic. As a family doctor at our clinic you will be expected to provide appropriate access for your patients, so the hours needed are flexible depending on your work patterns and practice size. This is a large well established patient panel that includes seeing patients in long term care. This panel could be shared by 2 doctors, so bring a friend! Our group is a mix of recent grads and close to retiring docs, some practices shared, and others part or full time. This role requires light on-call duties after hours in compliance with CPSBC, ensuring that our patients receive the care they need, when they need it. Compensation will be based on a Blended Capitation model (call Population Based Funding/PBF which is similar to FHO, FHN, FHT, etc.). This is a rare opportunity in BC, to use the simplest and most effective funding model, with parity to LFP funding, including a recent lift of 59%. Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive, equitable, and patient-centered care to a diverse patient population. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care. Participate in light on-call duties as required. Currently 1 in 11 phone availability, typically 0-2 calls per evening, and one Saturday 4 hour clinic every 11 weeks. Manage a patient volume of 1700, ensuring each patient receives personalized and effective care. Stay updated with the latest advancements in medicine and integrate them into patient care as appropriate. Requirements: Valid license to practice medicine in the province of British Columbia. CMPA coverage Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with colleagues, learners and staff. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
